I have been visiting Sussex County for many years, because of the beauty the area has to offer. I live in Ocean County and look forward to getting away from the weekend and summer crowds. Recently, I learned about aroundthearea.com and was surprised to see so much information in one website. I especially like the calendar, which gives us an insight to what will be going on when we get there. I love the antique shops, the restaurants, the quaint towns, the farmlands, and the beautiful scenery. Even though we live at the Jersey Shore, my husband prefers flyfishing in your lakes. (He's a catch-and-release fisherman, so he doesn't take away from your wildlife population.) I just want to say thanks to the creators and staff at your website. Everytime I go into the website, there's something new. And it's easy to use.

Recently, I had the good fortune to visit 'The Craft Creators' to pick up a prize I had won from the 'Around the Area' contest. 'The Craft Creators' had just relocated to a bright new store at 185 Spring St. What an interesting store! I had my little four- year old granddaughter, Alyssa, with me and together we had a blast choosing a paint-by –number picture for her, and a 'pencil by-number' for her 6 year -old cousin, Jacob. The selection is HUGE and there are paintings for all ages and abilities. Also, housed in the rear of the store is a lovely framing shop, set up for painting and portraits of all sizes.
I am giving my prize - a large, very pretty paint-by –number landscape scene as a gift for a special, handicapped friend. Surely they will enjoy hours of entertainment completing the painting. My thanks to 'Around the Area' for sponsoring such a wonderful contest. Without it I would never have known about the 'The Craft Creators' store. Also I would like to extend a sincere thank you to 'The Craft Creators' for their generosity!

It wasn't that long ago when I had misplaced some paperwork regarding an event that was going to take place in Sparta. I checked website after website until a friend recommended that I try looking in "Around the Area". After spending at least an hour frantically looking for the information I needed, I checked it out. I logged onto the Around the Area website and located the information within seconds! I had heard of them, but had no idea the magnitude of this operation. There simply isn't anything going on in this area that isn't noted on "Around the Area".
