Sussex County Community College offers many advantages including, financial, academic and cultural, to the entire community. SCCC has something for everyone and is close to home. Students that have graduated from high school can begin their college career here and adults looking to explore new opportunities or simply improve their skills can also find a place at SCCC.
Academically, SCCC offers 39 Associate Degrees and 11 Certificate programs. SCCC boasts a caring faculty and administrative staff. Students are able to receive more individualized attention because of the smaller class size as compared to most universities. The ratio for faculty to students is 15 to 1.
In addition to academics, SCCC offers a large number of clubs, groups and associations that students may become a part of. The college also presents student activities on a regular basis. These activities range from educational seminars to community service projects, recreational events, cultural happenings, theater trips, sporting events and "just for fun" activities. Athletics continue to develop at SCCC. Currently the athletic department offers Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, Men’s Baseball and Women’s Softball.
