The Sussex-Wantage Branch is the busiest branch of the five branches. It’s located on Route 639, near the Sussex County Airport.
The Sussex-Wantage Branch’s new building opened in 2003. It’s a beautiful building that the community has embraced. There is an Adult area and a Children’s Room. Additionally, the library has a Community Meeting Room that can be split in two in order for two meetings, or programs, to be held at the same time. The Meeting Room is available for non-profit purposes, and it can be booked by calling the library.
Sometime this year, a new amphitheater will be constructed and be used for outdoor programs. This exciting project is being sponsored by the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library. The Friends group was instrumental in having the new building constructed.
The Sussex-Wantage Branch has an excellent collection of books, music CDs, Books-on-Tape, Books-on-Cds, magazines, and DVDs, and it offers an outstanding selection of adult and children’s programs. If the item you want isn’t in the branch, the staff will be happy to obtain it from another Sussex County Library or, when necessary, at no cost, from a library outside of the County System.
