IES Brain Research Foundation Golf Outing & Dinner

The IES Brain Research Foundation Golf Outing & Dinner will be on Monday, August 16th, 2010 at the beautiful, private Lake Mohawk Golf Club. Join us for golf (with cart, box lunch, hors d'oeurves, delicious dinner buffet & free chair massage). You can have fun and test your golf skills by participating in our putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a par 3 shoot out or if you don't golf, join us for just dinner & hors d’oeuvres to support this wonderful program. There will be a silent & live auction, raffles & door prizes.
A variety of sponsorships are available. There are many ways that you can help and support the IES Brain Reseach Foundation Fellowship Program even if you cannot attend. Auction items, prizes and items for the “goody bags are welcome. All participation and support is greatly appreciated!

Endorphin 5K Run/Walk Festival & Business Expo will be held on 9/25 to benefit IES Brain Research Foundation.

Business Expo/Vendor Tables Showcase Your Business. Take advantage of First Year Special Pricing for expo tables and sponsorships. Business Expo/Vendor tables 8 am to 1 pm. Fee for space only. Set up at 6:00 am. Cars must be off field by 7:45 am and table set up by 8:00 am.

Fees: Early Registration if received by 7/31 or postmarked by 7/28 $30 plus door prize/auction item. Registration received after 7/31 or postmarked after 7/28 $45 plus door prize/auction item.

Cycle for Brain Health 2010
Bicycle Outdoors to Benefit IES Brain Research Foundation

Cycle for Brain Health 2010 is an opportunity for adults and kids to ride a bicycle more, in the car less, and get into great shape, while helping an important cause, IES Brain Research Foundation. Ride alone or make it a family or team event.

You keep track of the miles you cycle (anywhere) during the month of June or July 2010. Get sponsors/pledges for each mile you ride (or a fixed amount) from businesses or individuals. Set goals for miles you hope to ride from June 1-30 (or July 1-31) & money you hope to raise and try to reach them. All participants are expected to wear bike helmets & follow bike safety rules.

To participate, you first mail in a registration form (under 18 need signature from parent or guardian) to IES Brain Research Foundation #210 270 Sparta Ave. Suite 104 Sparta, NJ 07871. You will then receive your official IES Brain Research Foundation pledge & mileage forms. Registration forms are due by the 1st day of the month you will ride. You can print after May 15th, registration forms from www.iesBrainResearch.org or receive them by calling 973 726-6218.

There are tiered individual prizes for all & prizes for top three individual money raisers as well as prizes for the top team money raisers.

If you can’t ride, you can sponsor a rider. Sponsorship opportunities are available (be on a t-shirt, or donate a prize, etc.)

The IES Brain Research Foundation since summer 2005, will have given, as of this summer,: 33 Student Summer Fellowships to students who have had an opportunity to work in first rate labs and be trained by prominent neuroscientists, working on research projects in the areas of: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Brain Cancer, Epilepsy, stroke, addiction, pain, schizophrenia and more.

All proceeds from Cycle for Brain health go towards the IES Brain Research Foundation Summer Student Fellowship Program and to advance research that will lead to effective treatments for serious brain diseases and conditions such as: pain, addiction, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, etc. We all need and want answers. SUMMER STUDENT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

IES Brain Research Foundation offers a Summer Student Fellowship Program. Fellowships are available to bright, motivated undergraduate students who are interested in Neuroscience Research. This program gives students the opportunity to work with & be trained by an established, experienced scientist in the field of brain research.
This experience is ideal for students who are in the process of deciding if Neuroscience research is to be part of their career plans. IES Brain Research Foundation summer fellows receive a stipend of $2500 and are expected to spend 8-10 weeks (full time) during the summer, being trained in a first rate laboratory.
