This 501 (c) 3 non-profit is run totally by volunteers. The mission of the Foundation is to help advance research and education that will help find effective treatments and cures for serious brain diseases and conditions, such as: Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, brain cancer, PSTD, TBI (concussions, etc), autism, MS,epilepsy, addiction, pain, schizophrenia, etc.

IES Brain Research Foundation Golf Outing & Dinner Non-golfers and golfers support brain health!!
The IES Brain Research Foundation Golf Outing & Dinner will be on Thursday, May 31st, 2012 at the beautiful, private Lake Mohawk Golf Club. Join us for golf (with cart, goody bag,golf contests, box lunch, hors d'oeurves, delicious dinner buffet & free chair massage). You can have fun and test your golf skills by participating in our putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a par 3 shoot out or if you don't golf, join us for just dinner & hors d’oeuvres to support this wonderful program. There will be a silent & live auction, raffles & door prizes.
A variety of sponsorships are available. There are many ways that you can help and support the IES Brain Research Foundation Fellowship Program even if you cannot attend. Auction items, prizes and items for the “goody bags are welcome. All participation and support is greatly appreciated! Volunteers are needed leading up to and at the event.

SUMMER STUDENT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
IES Brain Research Foundation offers a Summer Student Fellowship Program. Fellowships are available to bright, motivated undergraduate students who are interested in Neuroscience Research. This program gives students the opportunity to work with & be trained by an established, experienced scientist in the field of brain research. This experience is ideal for students who are in the process of deciding if Neuroscience research is to be part of their career plans. IES Brain Research Foundation summer fellows receive a stipend of $2500 and are expected to spend 8-10 weeks (full time) during the summer, being trained in a first rate laboratory.
