The purpose of NCS is to educate children for a life of obedience to their calling in this world as image-bearers of God. This calling is to know God's Word and His creation, to consecrate the whole of human life to God, to love their fellowman, and to be stewards in their God-given tasks.
Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, Northwest Christian School supports parents who seek to obey the Biblical instruction which gives them ultimate responsibility for the education of their children (Deuteronomy 6:7-8). Because the Christian approach to learning differs significantly from the secular viewpoint, Northwest Christian School offers a curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life. This view holds that all truth is God’s truth and the Bible is the benchmark or authority for all of life. The curriculum, taught by a qualified Christian faculty, allows parents to provide their children with academic instruction consistent with the Christ-centered teaching received at home and church.
